MY STORY
Hello! My name is Aimee and I am the owner of Sweet Honeys. I am a specialty bakery that specializes in Gluten Free, Dairy Free, and Dye Free baked goods. After my diagnosis of Celiac Disease along with many other food allergies 7 years ago I began experimenting with baking. I always found myself frustrated at the store, unable to get real baked goods that actually tasted good and were not full of preservatives. So I decided to teach myself how to bake gluten free and dairy free. Baking has given me a fun way to be creative and a way to help focus my brain and calm my anxiety.

BUT WHY
SWEET HONEY'S?
I picked this name based off of the bible verse, “Pleasant words are a honeycomb sweet to the taste and health to the body.” Proverbs 16:24. I want Sweet Honeys to be a community for people with food allergies because living with food allergies can sometimes make you feel isolated and alone when every social gathering seems to involve food you can’t eat. I want Sweet Honeys to be a place of kindness and learning. I will be sharing a weekly blog with baking tips, recipes, and my journey. I understand not everyone can afford the cost of baked goodies so I want to provide a more affordable option by teaching you how to bake yourself. I will also share my failures as well because trust me there were many failures when I started. I also want Sweet Honeys to be a place with healthier ingredients and while I specialize within my allergies if you have another allergy I would love to work with you and find you a baked good you can actually have.
